Wow...how fun it was to pretend, but real love, being a Mommy and Our Wedding is so much better than what I once pretended it would be as a girl! I never imagined that what my life would bring to me, would be so amazing.
Our life together started with a blind date, on January 31, 1997, I was introduced to one of the greatest guys in the world! We were set up, by his sister Missy and my
cousin Amanda, which they promised not to leave me alone with him, we were all supposed to go bowling. But the lovely friends they are, they disregarded my request NOT to leave me alone with him, and said "Brett this is Michelle, Michelle this is Brett, have fun" and left me there with a total stranger, but I now am so forever grateful too the two of them and love them so much for what they gave me. I have found, in him, the greatest love of my life, it is so unexplainable, and I still love him with much passion, respect and honor as I did back then and then some, and I am very proud to be his wife and a mother to our his children. I just set and think of all the fun we had when we were younger, running with our friends, staying the night at our parents houses, cruising the strip, parties at the Adam's Shack, going and doing things with our parents, just spending time together, and the nights we drank and our parents knewnothing about it, that was fun too!(Sorry):)
See, we only saw each other on the weekends, but man were they good, not just for one thing either, just being with each other, and being with our families and friends were some of the most treasured times we have shared together. Playing pinochle at Brett's parents with everyone, boy did Brian love to cheat...and he was always right and couldn't stand loosing. Us girls sometimes didn't catch the switching of cards, or under the table tricks, boy did we have fun. Eventually I got used to being picked on by Brian...I took it so well:) to this day he still jokes/picks on me...I love it though, only now, I give it back at times...it is fun! They were all so welcoming and good to me...I Love them all!! They were all very supportive of us and enjoyed having us around, as did all of our parents for the most part.
Brett and I one night, September 8, 1999, went on a walkat the Hillsboro High
School track, what a beautiful night it was. Well, we were making laps around the track, his hands were a bit sweaty...we got around 2 1/2 laps, and I soon came too realize, I was walking by myself. Hmmm...I thought, so I say "come on, what are you doing"? So, I then looked back behind me to see him down on one knee with a box in his hand. He said "Come here, I have something I've been wanting to ask you for a few months"? So as I walked over, his eyes were feeling up with tears, and he said too me "I've been thinking a lot about us, and I was wondering if you would be my wife".? I said "Oh No, Oh my goodness...I mean YES I would love too!!:) I was in shock, I mean I thought we would get married, and we had been talking about it and looking at rings, but boy did he surprise me. We were both so excited, we went up town afterwards and told all of our friends and I called all of mine, and we told our parents, which they all already knew. We had a beautiful wedding on October 21, 2000, it was amazing. The colors were red, black and white, with the bridesmaids dresses being red, and roses for the flowers. Beautiful fall day, couldn't have ask for a more beautiful day!As our life together progressed, we found out on October 25th 2002, that we were expecting our first child...Wow were we excited!! We immediately called all sets of our parents to share our news...they were excited as well....Now that leads us to the story of our boys births and present day.
Our son Bryce Michael was born on July 17, 2003, at 1:23 p.m, and came into this
person and doesn't seem to mind change at all. I am so proud of him and I think he will do great, but again, it just doesn't seem possible that he will be attending kindergarten. He always tells me that his best friend is Owen! My best friend Chrissy and I had Owen and Bryce close together, and they have become good little buddies. Bryce talks about him all the time...it is too cute!We found out on July 15, 2005, that we were going to be expecting our second child.
We were able to tell Bryce on his second birthday that he would be a BIG Brother. At the time he didn't understand fully, but as my belly started to protrude, he was so excited to tell everyone about his baby in my belly. We then found out we were expecting a baby boy, and debated about his name, but Bryce decided between Payton James and Payton Lee, and Payton Lee became our new babies name, so from then on my belly was Payton Lee:) Payton was born on March 8, 2006 at 7:01 p.m. by c-section. Bryce loved him so much he wanted to be at the hospital some of the time. So our parents brought him to the hospital each day, and he was so good too him and would hold him and rock with him. He is a great big brother. Payton is a very good boy! On the go, and never a duel moment with him around. He is a very aggressive little boy and knows what he wants when he wants it, and isn't afraid to tell you. Totally different baby than Bryce, but that is good, he is his own little person, and we love him just the way he is. He is so sweet and very lovable, always hugging people, he gives kisses, and the famous question is "Where my Daddy at?" He is a Daddy's boy, but sure loves his Momma too:) He loves his brother and they get along good for the most part. And where ever there is a tractor a combine, you can count on Payton wanting a ride. If he doesn't get to go with Daddy, He gets Uncle Brian to give him an occasional tractor ride. He loves to mow the grass with Brett, and just loves to be outside. He is growing up so fast. With just turning two this past March he is enjoying life and is a very happy little boy! His best friend besides his brother is hisNow about each of us for those that don't know. Brett works at what I like to joke with him and say the Hilton at the edge of Hillsboro, or better known as Graham Correctional Center as a Correctional Officer (CO). He, for the most part enjoys his job, but I do believe misses being outside all the time. The shift of 3-11's isn't the best, but who says that everything in your life will be perfect, right? It will be hard this fall with Bryce starting school, and Brett's shift, but we will work it out. Brett will be spending time with him as much as he can. Brett as well, enjoys helping on the farm and does this often to help his Dad and Brother. He is the fix it man, and does just about what ever they need help with, unless he has plans with the family. That is one thing I do respect about Brett, if he knows he has plans with us, he sticks too it, I love him so much for that. I want our kids to remember him being a big part of their lives when they look back on their childhood. He is truly a wonderful Daddy to our boys!;)
I am currently working at home as a Licensed In-Home Daycare provider. I love it, and I have some great kids in my care! They are all so sweet and each one holds a place in my heart. All of my parents are great too...we are all real flexible with one another if days need to be switched or some added that week...it just works out so nice. I watch for 4 different families totaling 9 children in all counting my 2, but they are not all in my care at one time. I have two that will attend kindergarten this fall, and a few that will attend preschool. I not only have my kids in my care, but I also have my nephew, and soon too be 2 nephews. I enjoy every minute with all the kids, but it is sure nice to see my nephew everyday as well. He is quite the handsome little guy! He is the one that is Payton's best friend. Payton says "Nafan (Nathan) my friend" it is cute! But overall, I enjoy every bit of having all the kids here, they all get along really well and I get lots of hugs and kisses through out the day, and they tell me they love me all the time...it is so sweet to know the impacted I make on them:) They are all very much loved by us too. Brett loves being around them and they are all finally used to him being around at times. He is usually here during lunch and helps serve the kids with me. It is nice for them all, then they get to visit with Brett too.
We will be celebrating our 8th year of marriage this October and have been together for almost 12 years coming next February...amazing how time flies bye! It has been an awesome ride, it has had ups and downs, just as any marriage/relationship does, but we have a strong relationship that can with stand anything! I am forever thankful that I have such love in my life.
Well this is an extremely long blog, but I just wanted to give an overview of our Journey through life together so far!! It has been great, and I am looking forward to many more years to come. I have learned in life that you take each day one day at a time, but at the same time look forward to the future, and think about the good times in the past, and that the past, present and future thoughts, will give you forever joy! I have found my soul mate and will forever and always love him so deeply that nothing or no one will ever come between us or stand in our way of our happiness. I am so thankful for the life I have and what is becoming of it. Our boys are great, and keep asking if there are going to be more babies...we shall see what the future will bring for us:) Bryce seems to think we need to have 2 girls and more boys...we think that sounds like a lot of kids, Bryce says it doesn't, so Brett said to him "We will let you have us that many grand kids"...LOL!! We will keep you all posted on us and our family. Hope everyone is enjoying life and living each day to the fullest, after all, we need to make the best of our lives, we only live once.
Love to all of our family and friends,
The Brown's
Brett, Michelle, Bryce and Payton
